Hotel Boutique La Almunia del Valle

Granada City Centre

Granada is without doubt one of Spain's most beautiful cities, probably one of the world's. That's what Michelin Green Guide Andalucia writes:

“Having taken in those magnificent sunsets, got lost in the labyrinth of alleys and strolled through the wonderful streets of the centre... you realize that Granada is not only a beautiful town, but also one you will never forget."

A walk through Granada, from the Albaicín to the Alhambra

Granada was a town of three cultures: Christians, Jews and Muslims lived here together peacefully and in harmony. Having been the last city to be reconquered by the Catholic Moarchs in 1492, Granada has an unmistakable Moorish essence: If you take a stroll through the center, you'll experience that the gastronomy, craftwork and urban planning are influenced by this glorious past, when Granada was an important cultural and economic centre.

One of its old neighbourhoods, the Albaicín, has been awarded the Unesco World Heritage designation, together with the Alhambra and Generalife.

On our homepage of La Almunia del Valle Boutique Hotel we would like to recommend you four different thematic tours: The Alhambra and its Nasrid Palaces, El Albaicín neighbourhood, El Realejo neighbourhood and the Christian City.
